Demeter, Goddess of Harvest and Earth

She it is-

She it is who puts prayers in my mouth,

and she to whom I speak them.

They come from her, arise in me,

and return again to her,

so that my praying is a part of her eternal cycle;

and when I pray,

I take the part she has laid out for me.

When I pray, it is her words I pray;

when I sing it is her song;

When I act, it is her deeds I do.

I cannot step outside the way she has laid out,

for there is nowhere outside to step.

Ground of being, you contain all within you,

both that which acts and that which is acted upon.

Nowhere is there anything that does not arise in you.

Nothing is there that does not praise you by its existence.

Hearth Witchery

What is a Hearth Witch?

Hearth Witches see the sacred all around them, in mundane and magical ways. They try to incorporate their spiritual practice into everyday life. Hearth witches practice an uncomplicated, direct form of magic, deceptively simple and unspeakably profound.

Hearth witchery is part shaman, part seer, part herbalist, part spiritual healer, and all witch. The kitchen is, after all, the heart and hearth of many modern households, and so much magic and growth can and does happen in the home and kitchen.

When you take the time to put meals together from the basic ingredients, you have a magical opportunity at hand. Hearth witchery uses everyday tools and ingredients to craft and practice.
